Team CES Supports the LGBTQ Community Happy Pride to Everyone

When month long awareness periods roll around each year, such as Black History Month or Pride, many out there still roll their eyes and ask why such things are even needed in this day and age.

Not us.

We know that the people whom these ‘months’, ‘weeks’ and ‘days’ are saved for, are more than deserving of allocated periods of time out of the year.

It doesn’t have to be tokenistic, it’s an acknowledgement of the struggles they have endured, and the challenges they continue to face.

It’s a show of solidarity, and a statement that says no matter who you are, what you believe in, what you look like or who you love, you are part of our society and we support you.

Within our industry, there are members of the LGBTQ community who face stigma and abuse simply because of who they are. This isn’t necessarily in the workplace, and can come in many forms, both in their professional and personal lives.

We want them to know that we are there for them, always.

At #TeamCES, we are proud to say that discrimination and prejudice are two words we have never, and would never tolerate. We accept applications from suitable applicants from all walks of life. If you’re good at your job and dedicated to upholding our ethos, it doesn’t matter what your sexual orientation is, or how you identify.

When we’re out in the field, we sometimes find ourselves in the position of enforcing against people from the LGBTQ community. After all, why would they be any different from everybody else?

Well, there is one key difference.

Due to discrimination and prejudices which still exist today, people from the LGBTQ community are more likely to face issues with could lead to vulnerability, and at #TeamCES, we are always committed to identifying vulnerability, before signposting people to the appropriate channels of support.

Some of our clients too, they come from the LGBTQ community, and we know that they would speak highly of our services, absolutely confirming our zero-tolerance approach to discrimination in all its forms.

Finally, after all the heavy stuff, we want to wish all of our followers a Happy Pride for 2021.

Be proud of who you are and keep looking out for everyone else around you!
