Andy Burnham stood up for Manchester, he stood up for the North, and what did that land us with?
A bit of a slap on the wrist from central Government really, as we now find ourselves in the harshest of the tiers within the tier system, post lockdown.
We’re still proud of Andy Burnham for his defiant stance and for protecting the interests of the North of England, but it does now seem like we’re all being punished for that same defiance and for that same stance, especially when you consider transmission rates in London are higher than up here, and they’ve gone back into tier 3, with pubs allowed to open etc.
It’s almost as if there’s some kind of north / south divide, but maybe that’s a debate for another day!
Nothing should surprise us though, after the year we’ve all had, so we’re just cracking on with what we can crack on with here at #TeamCES, which as this update will show you, is more than you might think...
Enforcement Agents are still permitted to attend residential properties to enforce a writ of control .
As we have been throughout the periods of time between the lockdown, Agents must adhere to strict COVID secure practices, however regular followers of #TeamCES will know just how much time, effort and money we’ve invested to put our Agents way ahead of the game. Compliant, ethical, safe.
The caveat to attending residential properties is that if this is within tier 2 and tier 3 areas, Agents cannot enter the building...
...which is not the case with commercial buildings, as the regulations here are unchanged, with Agents allowed to enter the premises, should they need to.
Enforcing a Writ or a Warrant of Possession against tenants in residential properties also remains unchanged, as these are few and far between, allowed only under specific circumstances until the New Year.
So, to conclude, there are still things we can’t do due to COVID, but in true #TeamCES style, we prefer to focus on that which we can still do...
...and that’s quite a lot.
It’s all important work, when it comes to getting out clients back what is rightly theirs.
