To the men and women at Court Enforcement Specialists, you who work tirelessly to uphold our reputation, strengthen our relationships and protect the vulnerable, I want to say a heartfelt thank you.
Once again, your hard work and enthusiasm over the past year has been inspiring. I really believe we have the best team in the enforcement world.
I appreciate that the past year has been a challenge for all of us, with the ongoing Cost of Living crisis making things difficult, not just when it comes to doing our job, but in our personal lives as well.
If you need support, advice or even just to talk, please know that my phone is always on and my door is always open. We’re a team and we need to look out for each other.
This isn’t an easy industry to make your way in, but I hope you feel that #TeamCES will support you to go as far and to do as much as you believe you can.
In terms of the environment we are currently operating in, pressures on households and businesses are only likely to increase into 2023 and beyond. Whilst we have a job to do (and we do it very well) we also have an obligation and a moral duty to identify vulnerability wherever we find it.
You do this so well already, and I am confident that we will respond together to what is likely to be a rise in the number of cases which require extra sensitivity and understanding.
When people think of bailiffs, the connotations are unfair and based on old reputations, but there are still companies out there who operate in what I could call – the ‘wrong’ way.
We do things differently here, and you are part of #TeamCES because you have shown just how well you live up to our high standards.
In fact, it is you who drives those standards for the rest of the industry to follow.
For your hard work and dedication this past 12 months, you deserve a breather, so please make sure you take it and spend some time with your loved ones.
Have a great Christmas and a well deserved break. Wishing you and your families the very best for 2023.
CEO, Gareth Haggerty
